The South Jersey Area Local welcomes you to our website.  This website will provide information on various issues that our affect our Members.  The information has been compiled by us or provides links that will take you to the appropriate web site.

The South Jersey Area Local represents members in the Clerk, Maintenance and Motor Vehicle Crafts in the Southern New Jersey area. Our members are employed in 73 Postal Installations, including the L&DC in Swedesboro, and are under the jurisdiction of the South Jersey District, which also covers the State of Delaware.

Current News & Updates

L&DC ARBITRATION DECISION WILL BE DELAYED

At the end of April we became aware that the arbitration decision pertaining to the closing of the L&DC would be delayed. The transcripts of the hearing were not received by the party's attorneys until April 20. Each side will have until June 1 to submit their briefs to the arbitrator and a decision is expected in early August.

As always National wants to remind everyone to contribute what they can to the APWU COPA (Committee on Political Action). If you already contribute, Thank You. If you do not, please take a couple of minutes to visit the National site for some very easy options on contributing. Yes times are tough and it is hard to separate ourselves from what little extra money we may have, but remember a donation to COPA may just help ensure that you keep receiving a steady income. ACCESS TO YOUR OPF


Access to your own Official Personnel Folder can now be done via the website
www.liteblue.usps.gov
.  You will need your eight-digit Employee Identification
Number and your four-digit personal identification number (PIN). After you sign
in go directly to the eOPF that is on the home page of the site. Every paper
that was in your OPF was moved into your electronic OPF. Take the time to check
out your OPF to make sure there isn't anything in there that shouldn't be.
